Join Michelle and learn all about the ins and outs of doing fabric collage. You can choose a pattern from Laura Heine, Emily Taylor, or even just a line drawing. We will learn how to transfer the design to the foundation. How to prepare your fabric with fusible. How to choose fabrics that will give you the desired effect. How to cut and place your pieces. Tips on ironing and quilting.
Class Supplies: Follow your pattern for supplies (patterns can be purchased/ordered in the shop), but you will need Steam a Seam 2 or Steam a Seam 2 Lite, a foundation (Pellow 830 Easy Pattern, Pattern Ease, or Quilter's Grid) Black Sharpie Marker, Scissors (serrated edge ones like Karen Kay Buckleys work great but whatever you like) and lots of fabric choices with small prints, large prints, even solids and tone on tones (variety in the colors you like) Your own iron and ironing surface would be great as well to help with social distancing. No Sewing Machine Needed!!
If you have never done a collage quilt or need help on one you have started, this is the perfect class for you. There is no sewing required for this class.
